Lift Fusion WORKS for me July 16, 2008 Brenda L. Lott (Denver, CO, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read enough pro and con reviews here on Amazon and some other sites to give this product a try. Some reviewers loved it and some didn't see any results. I purchased the 1.7 oz size from Sephora while on vacation with my grand kids in Disneyland (Sephora in Downtown Disney); with the rationale that if it didn't do something pretty significant during my vacation, I would return it. Sephora is great about returns. Well, I will NEVER be without this product again. I maintained very conservative expectations and this product exceeded them by a mile. I am 53 years old and, despite my age, do not have a ton of deep wrinkles, and have been a Tretinoin user for several years. My marionette lines nearly disappeared and my frown crease between the eyebrows is much less pronounced. It was caused from years of squinting into the sun during golf - it's not that I frown at all. My under eye lines and slight puffiness also have shown dramatic improvement. I realized very good results after the first application and I have been applying twice a day for the past 7 days and do notice continuous, gradual improvement. Is it going to make me appear 25 again - Hell No - do I look noticeably younger and less wrinkled - Absolutely. I have tried Strivectin in the past - many years ago - and it had no effect at all. That was returned after 30 days for a full refund. Some people swear that Strivectin works for them. I say good for them - it did not work for me. Not every product is going to provide the same reaction for everyone - reference the difference in various lip color shades from one individual to the next; it's a matter of personal chemistry. I did notice that if you do not pat the product into the skin very thoroughly (use very little and don't smear it on and rub it in like moisturizer) and let it thoroughly be absorbed, it will flake, as a couple reviewers referenced. If you apply a small amount to problem areas, correctly, it will not flake or peel off at all. I apply the Lift Fusion first, Tretinoin next and moisturizer - in that order. If I'm going to apply make up, I top it off with Smash Box Photo Finish. The product tingles, but even with the Tretinoin, my skin is not dry or irritated. This is a good product and, to me, it's worth every penny. I'm almost ashamed to admit I've spent more than twice as much as the cost of this product with far less benefit. I also cannot detect any icky odor for this product as some had mentioned. They either got a "soured" batch or a bad batch and should try an exchange. We've all smelled old, soured (rancid) face products - gross. In any event - Lift Fusion (and Lip Fusion) work for me and I couldn't be happier with the cost/effect value. My advice would be to try it, apply it correctly and see if it works for you - if not - return it for a refund.
Great product; use consistently for best results March 27, 2008 EMS (Rockwall, TX) I'm 42 with thin, scarred, sun-damaged lips (grew up on the Gulf Coast and didn't heed Mother's advice to use sun protection often enough). I can't seem to bring myself to get any kind of injections in my lips (ouch!) - I don't care if it becomes super cheap to do it. Anyway, I'm on my third tube of this stuff in two years; I have had the same results as the person who posted her pics in the gallery. It's not just a visual thing; the bigger issue for me is that my lips truly feel better than they have in years of trying all kinds of other lipcare products that didn't provide the cumulative effect of LipFusion XL. I use 2x daily - am/pm. After I've used it for awhile, my lips still feel better on the occasions I miss a day - although I can't miss too many days in a row. The only two reasons I gave it 4 of 5 stars: my current tube seems to be somewhat less effective than the other two tubes and unfortunately I lost my receipt so I can't exchange it - I'm thinking this tube is just part of a bad batch and hoping that the formula didn't actually change. Second reason for 4 of 5 stars is, like another reviewer said, I wish the XL tubes were clear. Save your receipt in case it doesn't work for you, and ALWAYS remember SPF during the day, even on your lips!
This is different! March 27, 2008 RMPG43 (New Mexico, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used tons of anti-aging products in the past. Kinerase is my favorite line, along with PrevageMD. I'm in my mid 40's, so elasticity and sagging becomes an issues with lower estrogen levels in life. LiftFusion is different, and works to some degree. But as with anything that is merely topical, you must maintain realistic expectations. I bought the $25 sample bottle and have only used it 2 times so far. After reading reviews I was skeptical and even concerned I would have a reaction to the product. One thing to note- it smells really weird. Not good, and possibly because it uses wheat and rice brans in it is the reason for the peculiar odor. If you are sensitive to odd smells - don't buy LiftFusion. I am a trooper and will try anything, and the odor does go away after the product dries for a while. You can feel and see a difference where you apply the LiftFusion. Notably in the delicate outer orbit of the eye and above the eyebrows. There was a lifting sensation and a visual difference. Better :) Around the "marrionette" lines of the mouth, I think it is much more difficult to see results, though I did notice a softening of the naso-labial folds.. I don't have deep wrinkles, and it plumped this area very slightly .. I used a 10X mirror to note results. Bottom line, if you are over 35 and don't like what you are seeing in the mirror lately, this product may deliver some results for you. It plumps and tightens slightly. Keyword--- Slightly! It's better than not at all. I experienced it for myself. Gently pat a small amount in the areas you wish to treat. Don't rub it in like moisturizer. If you can get past the smell of it during application, you should be good! Start with the $25 bottle and you can return it to Sephora if you hate it within 30 days. I give it 3 stars. Worth a whirl, but not for everyone.
Flakes off and Dries Skin February 14, 2008 anonymous (San Pedro, CA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I tried this product for a month. My makeup looked smoother in areas where my skin is already smooth. Areas around my mouth with fine lines looked the same. After a month my skin was irritated and dry. I believe this product works by slightly irritating your skin so it swells up and then once the product is dry it leaves a film that does make your skin look plumper; however, it is difficult to apply makeup over the product without it flaking off or gumming up. Save your money and skip it.
I Can Tell the Difference... January 3, 2008 E. Raptis (Cincinnati, Ohio USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I think Lift Fusion is not getting as good of a review as it deserves here. I have just used it for the first time, and I can definitely tell that my deep brow furrow looks improved. It hasn't disappeared, but certainly looks lessened depending on the light in which I'm viewing it. I'm not the cosmetic surgery type, so I think Lift Fusion is about the best treatment for deep and certainly fine lines without surgery. To all the people who are grumbling about wasting their $140, why didn't you buy the $25 trial size? It's not rocket science... I'll take your $140 bottle off your hands for you. (Unless you work for the Botox company and don't really own any Lift Fusion.) Also, you can get it much cheaper on eBay. In addition, I've noticed that the very poor reviews are written under pen names here, not real names. Go figure.
